Traditional jeepneys allowed in selected areas

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced Monday that traditional jeeps in selected areas are now allowed to travel.

The selected areas are Bulacan, Pampanga, Cagayan De Oro, South Cotabato, Siquijor, Region 1, Region 6, Region 8, Region 19, Region 11, Region 12, and Region 13.

Malacañang has let the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to decide on the date regarding the full operation of the traditional jeepneys. The LTFRB has ensured that the fare will not increase once the public utility jeepneys are allowed to ply their routes. -PTV News
