Malacañang confirmed that President Rodrigo R. Duterte will ask for a special session for Bayanihan II that is expected to replace the expired Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, the special session will be held before the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of the President.
House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez has stated that they are ready to pass the Bayanihan to Recover as One or the Bayanihan II. They are only awaiting the official request from Malacañang to have a special session in Congress. He added that the majority of the House have agreed to approve the Bayanihan II. -PTV News
