44 remains of OFWs from KSA to arrive July 10

44 remains of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will arrive in the Philippines on July 10.

According to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III, 19 of the OFWs died due to Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) while 25 have succumbed to natural causes.

The airplane carrying the bodies will land at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City. 44 more remains will be repatriated on Monday, July 13.

Sec. Bello said that as a protocol, the remains will be immediately cremated.
