29th petition vs. Anti-Terror Law filed

Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials and civic society youth leaders filed before the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday the twenty-ninth petition challenging the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.

Similar to those previously filed, the petitioners requested for the issuance of a temporary restraining order (TRO) for the implementation of the said law. They also sought for the declaration of the entirety of the new Anti-Terror Law as null and void for being unconstitutional.

The petitioners were represented by the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers – National Capital Region (NUPL-NCR).
