The Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) has filed an administrative case against the police officers on the killing of 4 soldiers in the Jolo shooting incident in July.
“The PNP, through the Internal Affairs Service, has formally filed admin cases against nine PNP personnel who are respondents in the criminal case for murder and planting of evidence filed by NBI in connection with the death of four Philippine Army personnel.” PNP Chief Police General Camilo Cascolan announced.
The said cops are facing criminal charges filed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as well.
The PNP-IAS has also charged 3 police superiors, Sulu Provincial Director Lt. Col. Michael Bawayan, Jolo Chief of Police Maj. Walter Annayo, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit-Sulu head Capt. Ariel Corcino.
“[The] three immediate officers will also be called here. I believe they’re already en route to Crame.” PNP Chief Cascolan said.
If the case is filed and when a warrant of arrest is issued, said police personnel will be arrested.
