COMELEC to proclaim Duterte Youth as part of Congress

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is set to proclaim the party-list group, Duterte Youth, to be included in Congress under its nominee, Ducielle Cardema.

According to COMELEC Chairman Sheriff Abas, the en banc has already made a decision and is ready for signing. Several representatives have questioned the COMELEC on the delay of the group’s proclamation since the 2019 midterm elections.

It has come to a point that Northern Samar Rep. Paul Daza warned that the COMELEC’s budget will be held off if it will not act on the pending proclamation.

“If there’s no assurance I’ve been ask by members to consider to defer the budget of the COMELEC.”
