IATF-EID approves Dietary Supplementation Program

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the Dietary Supplementation Program.

Under the program, the dietary supplement will be given to children ages 6 to 23 months and nutritionally at-risk pregnant women through cash or food packs.

This is the state’s response to the increasing number of Filipinos who starve amidst the health crisis.

In the recent data of the Social Weather Stations’ hunger survey, around 7 million Filipinos have experienced hunger one or more times in a span of 3 months.
