President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is hoping for the quick recovery of US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump after the two tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque claimed that President Duterte and the American head of state are good friends.
“Ang mensahe po ng Presidente (The message of the President), he wishes President Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania, a full and speedy recovery,” Roque said during his his briefing in Boracay on Monday.
Trump announced he got the disease in his Twitter account shortly after his top aid Hope Hicks and Assistant Nicholas Luna were reported to have tested positive for the virus. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
