DOLE urges cashless payment of employees’ salaries


The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has urged employers to implement cashless payment of employees’ salaries.

The DOLE has encouraged all companies and employers to use transactions for the implementation of cashless salary payment and other monetary benefits. This may be done by opening a payroll system via digital technology, such as digital wallets or e-payments.

This method is effective against the further spread of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) through direct contact.

The DOLE has also reminded that pay slips or records of payment and deduction must still be distributed to employees. – PTV News
