Authorities have arrested a murder suspect allegedly involved in a kidnap for ransom group in Marawi City.
The suspect, Michael Estanol, has been caught in Barangay Matampay by virtue of a warrant of arrest.
According to the Philippine National Police-Anti Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), Estanol was involved in a murder in 2018. He is also an alleged member of the kidnap for ransom group responsible for kidnapping activities in Lanao and Marawi.
They often target wealthy entrepreneurs in Mindanao. Authorities believe that Estanol also has a connection with the gun for hire and robbery extortion in Gingoog City and other areas.
