The Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital will temporarily stop admitting patients in the coming days to make way for the disinfection of facilities after a group of physicians and a nurse got infected by coronavirus.
“Upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga pasyente at empleyado ng Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital sa darating na ika- 24, 25, 26 at 27 ng Oktubre 2020 [Sabado, Linggo, Lunes at Martes] ang OB emergency room, Pediatric emergency room at out-patient department ay pansamantalang isasara at hindi tatanggap ng pasyente (On October 24,25, 26, and 27 [Saturday to Tuesday], our OB and pediatric emergency rooms and out-patient department will be temporarily closed and will not accept patients),” the announcement stated.
The hospital management confirmed seven doctors and one from the nursing department tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing has been conducted and swab testing started today for personnel who had close contacts with the infected medical staff.
