DOH reminds LGUs to do symptoms check on evacuees

The Department of Health (DOH) has reminded LGUs to conduct symptoms check on evacuees to avoid a Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in evacuation centers.

According to DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, evacuees showing symptoms must be immediately isolated and transferred to a quarantine facility. Evacuees must observe the minimum health standards such as wearing of face masks, washing of hands, and physical distancing.

The DOH insisted that the distance of family-evacuees must still be 1 meter away from each other. Buildings used as temporary treatment and monitoring facilities should not be used as evacuation centers. – Report from Mark Fetalco
