Maynilad, Manila Water delay rate increase set in 2021

Maynilad and Manila Water will delay the implementation of their rate increase set originally on January 2021.

According to Manila Water, this is meant to ease the difficulties of its customers caused by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. For Maynilad, it is giving due consideration to its consumers affected by the health emergency.

The two water concessionaires have stated that they will not yet implement the rebasing adjustment which was initially approved in 2018 and the mandated customer price index inflation increase for the year 2021 to ease the burden brought by COVID-19 in the country. – PTV News
