Task Force Bangon Marawi Chairperson: Marawi rehabilitation projects rolling out smoothly

The government continues to exert efforts in the rehabilitation of the structures in Marawi City that were destroyed during the urban war in 2017.

Task Force Bangon Marawi Chairperson Secretary Eduardo del Rosario shared that the rehabilitation projects in the city have been rolling out smoothly. The work on a large portion of the vertical and horizontal infrastructures in the most affected area have been started and have progressed well.

Task Force Bangon Marawi is also focused in the restoration of the devastated mosques in the city.

Sec. del Rosario disclosed that 2 floors have already been finished in the 3-storey Marawi Central Market which will be the center of trade in the city. The construction of the second floor of another building will also be started in the next few weeks.

According to Sec. del Rosario, almost 30% of the secondary and tertiary roads are done. The task force believes that the projects will be completed on its deadline. – Report from Kenneth Paciente
