PGH, Lung Center ready for possible COVID-19 surge

The two COVID-19 referral hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) are prepared for the possibility of a COVID-19 case surge this coming holiday season.

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH) said its operations will continue to address patients infected with the Coronavirus and assured that beds allocated for COVID-19 patients will not be lessened.

Around 200 beds have been dedicated by the PGH for COVID-19. The Lung Center of the Philippines has around 70 beds for COVID-19 patients.

Despite preparations, the two hospitals are still hoping that the number of cases would not increase now that they are gradually opening non-COVID services. – PTV Balita Ngayon
