NCRPO bans firecrackers in Metro Manila


The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) prohibits the selling and using of firecrackers in Metro Manila this holiday season.

NCRPO Chief Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao disclosed that the Metro Manila mayors have agreed to ban firecrackers after the Regional Peace and Order Council meeting. However, fireworks display will be allowed in the community as long as it is approved by the local government unit (LGU).

Meanwhile, Danao warned that individuals caught without face mask and face shield in public will be arrested. – PTV News
