440 prov’l buses to ply 5 more routes on Christmas eve


Five provincial routes will be opened by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on December 24, 2020.

Around 440 provincial public utility buses are expected to ply the soon-to-be opened routes.

This move is in accordance with the two memorandum circulars passed by the LTFRB on Tuesday.

All buses are obliged to implement the “Seven Commandments” for public transportation which include a “no ride policy” for individuals without face mask and shield.

The LTFRB has clarified that no fare hike will be implemented unless otherwise ordered by the board.

The routes which will open on December 24 are as follows:

• Baguio City – Mariveles, Bataan
• Baguio City – Olongapo,
Zambales
• North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) – Baguio City
• North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) – Laoag City, Ilocos Norte
• North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) – Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte – PTV News
