President Rodrigo R. Duterte assured that his administration will continue to relieve corrupt officials from their positions as a new year begins.
According to the president, more PhilHealth officials are expected to be dismissed from the agency since many personnel are still involved in corruption. Said officials might be removed in the first quarter of 2021 once the documents and the investigation have been completed.
Moreover, the Chief Executive reported that at least 72 personnel of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) have been sacked due to involvement in illegal transactions and corruption. – PTV News
