PH, SII sign agreement for 30M doses of Covovax

The Philippines and the Serum Institute of India signed an agreement for the supply of 30 million doses of Covovax Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine.

Vaccine Czar and National Task Force Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. represented the side of the Philippines in the signing. The Covovax is expected to be available at the start of the 3rd quarter of 2021.

Aside from the said vaccine, Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III confirmed that they have secured 25 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from the Chinese firm Sinovac. – PTV News
