Special body created to probe DavSur ambush

DAVAO CITY — The Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office (DSPPO) is creating a special investigating task group (SITG) to dig deeper into the ambush in Bansalan, Davao del Sur last Sunday night that left two high school students dead and several others wounded.

DSPPO deputy provincial director for administration, Supt. Deozar Almasa, said the SITG will look into several possible angles on the incident aside from the clan war.

Almasa said that previously there were same incidents of ambush in the said town, but they need to dig deeper on the case.

Earlier, Kiblawan Municipal Police Station (MPS) acting commander, Senior Insp. Erich Von Requilman, said the motive behind tbe attack could be pangayaw of the B’laan, which according to the elders in the town this already existed for many years.
