21,600 more CoronaVac doses arrive in Davao City

The additional 21,600 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines aboard PAL Cargo Flight PR8811 have landed at the Davao International Airport on Thursday.

The doses were packed in 36 containers and were transported by refrigerated trucks to the Department of Health XI office in J.P Laurel Avenue, Davao City.

“May enough vaccines na tayo to cover ang ibang private at LGU hospitals sa region (We now have enough vaccines to cover other private and LGU hospitals in the region),” DOH XI Reg. Dir. Dr. Anabelle Yumang stated.

There are now 33,600 vaccine doses available in the Davao Region with the arrival of the second batch of CoronaVac doses.

DOH XI is currently waiting for an advisory of the national government concerning the vaccine to be used on healthcare workers aged 18 years-old below and 59 years-old above. – Report from Jay Lagang/PTV Davao
