PRRD wants marginalized Filipinos prioritized in vaccination

President Rodrigo R. Duterte assured the Filipinos in the marginalized sector that they will not be left behind in the national vaccination program.

In his public address Monday, Pres. Duterte guaranteed that they will be inoculated as soon as the vaccine supply is sufficient. They will be next in line after the turn of healthcare workers and the senior citizens.

“I know, lahat kayo, lalo na ‘yong mga kababayan ko nandiyan sa squatters’ area, lahat kayo, huwag kayong matakot at hindi ko kayo iiwanan. That’s why I said, we are thinking of going mobile, kayo na ang pumunta, or if you are near the barangay, you just wait because ang order ko ngayon is for the team to give you the vaccine while traveling. Marami tayong sasakyan. We will use all government assets. Gamitin natin ang lahat ng sasakyan ng gobyerno. (I know, all of you, especially my countrymen in the squatters’ area, have no fear and I will not leave you. That’s why I said, we are thinking of going mobile, you can personally go there or if you are near the barangay, you just wait because my order for now is for the team to give you the vaccine while traveling. We have plenty of transportation. We will use all government assets).”

The Chief Executive also urged government agencies to do their share.

“You have to contribute, I said, this is a fight not only against the COVID but against you know despair and hopelessness.” -NGS, PTV News Online
