The Manila Police District (MPD) has apprehended over 1,000 violators on the first night of the curfew implementation.
In the issued report of the Manila Public Information Office, the number of curfew violators caught by the MPD on Monday night reached 1,139 residents who are mostly adults while more than 200 are minors.
According to MPD Director Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, various penalties have been imposed to the violators. However, the parents of minors may be charged with violation of the Anti-Child Endangerment Ordinance of the City. The MPD is hoping that the figures will drop in the next days. — Report from Louisa Erispe
