₱748K worth of shabu seized in Manila, 5 suspects arrested

5 suspects were arrested in Manila during a buy bust operation led by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Manila Police District Station 3.

The suspects were identified as Michael Salazar alias “Michael”, Melvin Lorenzo alias “Kerker”, Joylyn Salazar alias “Doeng”, Marvie Pineda alias “Marvie”, and Ramil Torres alias “Ramil”.

Operatives recovered 10 pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet that contains suspected shabu, weighing around 100 grams and costs ₱748,000.

According to a spot report of the station, the operation started around 5PM yesterday along Firmeza Street in Barangay 542, District 4 in Manila.

Other pieces of evidence recovered were 3 motorcycles, a sling bag, and ₱500 buy bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violation of RA. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
