DOE: Energy supply is enough this summer

The Department of Energy (DOE) assured that there will be no black-outs this summer and in the next few months.

DOE-Electric Power Industry Management Bureau Chief Mario Marasigan guaranteed on Tuesday (April 27) in a joint congressional energy commission hearing that there is sufficient energy supply for April and the next few months due to the low consumption of the business sector because of the existing community quarantine.

Joint Commission Chairperson Senator Sherwin Gatchalian initially said it is significant to ensure that the electricity supply in Metro Manila and other parts of the country is adequate for the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.
