To address the issue of vaccine hesitancy among Filipinos, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte assured the public that all COVID-19 vaccine brands available in the Philippines are effective.
In his weekly public address on Monday (May 31), the President said it is “high time” for the public to know that all of the vaccines available in the country are effective and no brand is superior to others.
“It is high time that the people would know or must know na itong lahat ng vaccine puro effective ‘yan,” he said. “Kaya ipasok mo sa ulo that itong U.S.-made cannot be a superior brand than the Chinese and other brands in comparing them with each other. Iyan ang tandaan ninyo.”
He also said that the best vaccine is the one in front of you.
“At saka kung ang the best talaga na bakuna, ‘yung sabi nga nila ‘yung nandiyan sa harap mo. Iyon ang magbigay ng protection sa iyo,” he said.
