Palace: No inequality in vaccine distribution

Malacañang asserted that there is no inequality in the country’s vaccine distribution amid the ongoing national vaccination program.

In a public briefing on Thursday (June 10), Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the government aims to equally give out vaccine supplies. He stressed that some places are given more due to the amount they need.

“Hindi naman po inequality kung hindi it is based on science – na talaga pong kung saan iyong kuta, kung saan pinakamataas ang mga kaso ng COVID-19 ay binibigyan po natin ‘no nang karagdagang supply dahil iyong pagbabakuna nga po ay isang depensa laban sa lalo pang pagkalat ng COVID-19,” he said.

He claimed that the NCR and its nearby provinces are receiving more vaccine allocation.

“Hindi po iyan karangalan. It is not a badge of honor. It is a sad state of fact na marami po ang kaso rito, indikasyon po siguro na kulang pa sa mask, hugas, iwas at bakuna.”  Report from Mela Lesmoras/NGS-rir
