Manila starts COVID-19 vaccination for A5 category

The City of Manila local government has started its vaccination program for the A5 category on Thursday (June 17).

The said part of the city’s mass vaccination program began in Sta. Ana Elementary School at 6:00 a.m. with 1-K COVID-19 vaccine doses. Aside from this, the city government also distributed 1-K doses to six more school vaccination sites in Manila for the inoculation of the A5 priority group.

Meanwhile, the Manila local government unit (LGU) also distributed 2,500 COVID-19 vaccine doses to four malls in the city for the A2 and A4 priority groups.

Based on the city’s report on Wednesday (June 16), the number of deployed COVID-19 vaccines in the nation’s capital has reached 407,780 wherein 276,706 were set as first doses while 131,074 were second doses.

On June 16, Manila recorded its all-time high in administered vaccines at 27,338.
