HSAC conducts mass vaccination for its employees

The Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) partnered with the local government of Quezon City in the mass vaccination program last June 18, 2021, at the HSAC/DHSUD covered court in their Quezon City office.

A total of 121 employees from HSAC Central and Regional Adjudication branches NCR and 4-A (MIMAROPA), whose work base is in Quezon City, were inoculated with first dose of AstraZeneca vaccines.

The vaccines were provided by the local government of Quezon City while the manpower and venue were provided by HSAC. An ocular inspection and assessment of staff were conducted by the Quezon City Health Office prior to the event.

“We check if the venue has good ventilation and enough space for the registration, screening, vaccination and monitoring stages, and HSAC met all those requirements”, said Jirah Asa Sideco, representative of Quezon City district health office. “During the event, our nurses oversee the whole process and administration of the vaccine, and I can safely say HSAC did very well on that”, added Sideco.

The HSAC, a quasi-judicial agency, initiated the request to the Office of the Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte with a hope that they will be also considered in the priority list since the National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF) included the officers and personnel in the justice sector in the priority list last April 2021.

“We are grateful that the Quezon City Mayor Belmonte granted our request. Our agency has a high level of exposure to the public as we hear and decide cases, and it is our top priority to protect our employees and the public as well”, Executive Commissioner Melzar P. Galicia said. “We are also very thankful to the medical frontliners who are here to help us succeed in this vaccination program”, Galicia added.

HSAC aims to prioritize the health and safety of all its employees as well as the public who visit its Offices and having the vaccine is one step in achieving that goal not just for its agency but for the whole nation. –rir
