More than two million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Based on the Department of Health’s (DOH) data as of June 20, 8.591 million doses have been administered nationwide, with 6.4 million as first dose and 2.1 million for the second dose.

In a Laging Handa public briefing on Tuesday (June 22), DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje reported that 1.5 million out of 1.6 million, or 97%, of individuals under the A1 category have been inoculated. However, this still excludes the expanded A1 group or the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and the families of the healthcare workers.

For the A2 population or the senior citizens, two million have been vaccinated for the first dose while 554,000 have been fully vaccinated. Some 2.1 million of the A3 priority were vaccinated for the first dose and 537,000 for the second dose.

She further reported that 573,000 individuals have been vaccinated under the A4 category, while 8,137 were vaccinated for the second dose.

For the A5 population, they have recorded 76,412 individuals that have received their first dose.

According to the DOH, the highest daily average of the administered doses for the past week is 208,809.

– jlo
