PH eyes to administer at least 8-M doses in July

The government aims to administer eight to 10 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine this month, National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez said.

During President Rodrigo Duterte’s nation address on Monday (June 28), the vaccine czar said that the goal to vaccinate eight to 10 million vaccine doses in July will be achieved if there will be no lapses in the global supply of COVID-19 vaccine.

To achieve this goal, Galvez said that the vaccination program must be able to administer two million jabs per week.

“Ang ating National Vaccination Operation Center kasama po ang ating mga local government unit (LGU)… will endeavor to achieve 8-10 million doses to be administered for the month of July, the global supply permitting,” he said.

On June 24, the national vaccination program posted a record 348,148 vaccine doses administered per day. – Report from Alvin Barcelona / CF-rir
