Manila continues COVID-19 vax rollout

The city of Manila continued on Wednesday (July 7) the second dose inoculation of its residents under priority groups A1 to A5 who received their initial dose on June 9 and 16.

Those administered with Sinovac Biotech’s CoronaVac on June 9 were hosted by vaccination sites in four malls and five school sites from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The sites in Lucky Chinatown Mall and SM San Lazaro were given 1,000 doses each, while those in Robinson’s Place Manila and SM Manila were given 1,200 doses each. 

Those injected with Pfizer vaccine on June 16 were given their second doses in eight community sites.

The city will continue to open its vaccination sites on July 8 for those initially vaccinated with Pfizer vaccines on June 17.

Seafarers who were initially inoculated at Palacio de Maynila will be vaccinated in the San Andres Sports Complex, while those under A5 will be accommodated in seven community sites.

Meanwhile, Caloocan City continued the second dose rollout of Sinovac, Pfizer, and AstraZeneca vaccines. At least 800 residents are also targeted to be inoculated at the Tala Hospital. – Report from Cleizl Pardilla/AG-rir
