LPA trough to bring rains over Mindanao, parts of Visayas Sunday

MANILA — The trough of the low pressure area (LPA) last spotted at 320 kilometers east of General Santos City, South Cotabato will bring scattered rains over Mindanao and parts of Visayas, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday morning.

Mindanao, central Visayas, Negros Occidental, and Leyte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will prevail over over northern Luzon, eastern Visayas, and the eastern part of central and southern Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, according to PAGASA. (PNA)
