Good governance seal a challenge to serve Dabawenyos more: Mayor Inday

DAVAO CITY — Mayor Inday Sara Duterte has credited city hall employees for their efforts to serve the people well following the city’s winning of another Seal of Good Local Governance award from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

“I would like to thank all the government offices within the Davao City local government for their continued effort to provide efficient and effective public service to Dabawensyos,” she said.

The award was the latest for the city after winning the Seal of Good Local Governance award for the past three years.

Mayor Inday said that the fresh achievement should be taken as challenge by government officials and workers to perform their best in serving the people of Davao.
She said she will lead them into winning next year’s award.

“This award will be a challenge for us to improve and do more and be innovative in our work as public servant,” Mayor Inday said.

One factor that helped city achieve the Seal of Good Local Governance was the continued expectation of the people that the government would always be responsive to their needs.

“The attitude of the people that they always expect that the government will always be responsive to their needs is one of the city government’s motivation to do our work,” she added. (PNA)
