2 weather systems to bring rain showers over most of PH

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

MANILA – Most parts of the country will experience rain showers due to the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and the Visayas and the northeast monsoon affecting Luzon.

“Areas affected by the shear line will experience cloudy skies and light to moderate, with at times heavy rains,” Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Mindanao, the Bicol Region, Central, and Eastern Visayas.

Rains will be experienced over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands due to the northeast monsoon, which will also bring isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Mimaropa and Western Visayas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have isolated light rains.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate seas.

Aurelio said no weather disturbance is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. (PNA)- bny
