The Quezon City government continued to exceed its vaccination target, posting 1,806,561 fully vaccinated individuals as of Tuesday morning.

The total is 106.27 percent of its target adult population to achieve population protection against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

There are also 1,931,744 adults who have received at least one dose while the pediatric vaccination for 12 to 17 years old has reached 44,269.

The city’s recovery rate from COVID-19 also improved to 98.29 percent while 1,502 remained active cases, or 0.84 percent of 178,147 total infections.

Amid the downtrend, areas under Special Concern Lockdown are likewise down to 10 in the country’s most populous city where about 2.9 million reside.

There are select areas in the villages of Culiat, Tandang Sora, Immaculate Concepcion, Lourdes, Payatas, Bahay Toro, Bagong Silangan, and Kamuning.

Affected residents are under 14-day mandatory quarantine and are subject to swab tests.

They are provided with food packs and other essential kits. (PNA) -rir
