Drug den dismantled in Mabalacat City, 5 arrested

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A drug den was dismantled and five watch-listed individuals were arrested in a drug sting in Mabalacat City on Tuesday (Nov. 16).

A police report on Wednesday (Nov. 17) said Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 3 (Central Luzon) operatives, with the Mabalacat City police, nabbed Cherry Ilustre, 21; Shandy dela Cruz, 18; Vergel Yumul, 31; Eduardo Yumul, 64; and Ramon Yumul, 73, in Purok San Isidro, Barangay Dau.

The suspects yielded six transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, weighing some 15 grams and with a Dangerous Drug Board-estimated value of P97,500, and several drug paraphernalia.

The suspects will be charged with the violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA) – bny
