CHED: Schools can push through with limited face-to-face under some conditions

By Pearl Gumapos

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on Tuesday (Nov. 23) said educational institutions can push through with expanded limited face-to-face under certain conditions.

Firstly, all students and faculty must be vaccinated.

De Vera said the IATF has approved that fully-vaccinated students and faculty may enter school premises.

Second, the school must be following minimum health standards requirements.

“Kailangan naka-retrofit iyong facilities nila. At pang-apat, kailangan may concurrence ng local government,” De Vera said.

He said expanded face-to-face classes may begin depending on how fast the school retrofits it’s facilities to follow health protocols.

Schools can start as early as December.

“Iyong sa January na limited face-to-face, ang nagbukas na ay 161 schools at marami pa ang nabigyan na ng authority na magbukas pero magbubukas ata iyong iba ng January ang gusto nila. Depende sa school iyan kasi patapos na ang semester,” he said. -rir
