Kalawit town benefits from anti-insurgency fund

The municipality of Kalawit in Zamboanga del Norte shared how the programs of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) helped in their anti-insurgency campaign.

“May isang barangay dito sa amin, isang sitio na identified talaga na lungga ng kuwan talaga – lawless at saka ‘yung makakaliwa,” Mayor Salvador Antojado said.

“‘Yung P20 million na inilaan ng DILG para sa ELCAC [National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict], doon namin na-implement para ang mga tao doon mawala na ‘yung galit nila sa gobyerno,” he added.
