PH Navy ship mula Zamboanga, naghatid ng food packs sa nasalanta ng bagyo sa Siargao Islands

Isang barko ng Philippine Navy na puno ng libo-libong mga kahon ng food packs ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) IX, ang naglayag nitong umaga mula sa Zamboanga, upang maghatid ng tulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Odette sa Lalawigan ng Surigao del Norte.

Ang BRP Ivatan na may lulan na 7,000 kahon ng food packs ng DSWD IX, ay dideretso sa isla ng Siargao sa Surigao del Norte, upang magbigay ng tulong sa mga nasalanta ng bagyong Odette noong Huwebes, Disyembre 16.

Ang kada food pack ay naglalaman ng anim na kilo ng bigas, mga delata, kape at cereal.

Ang DSWD IX ay may naka-standby na 20,000 kahon ng mga food pack, na ipapamahagi kung sakaling may mga kalamidad.

Nagpahayag naman ng pasasalamat si Atty. Sittie Raifa Pamaloy-Hassan, Regional Director ng DSWD-IX sa Armed Forces of the Philippines, partikular na sa Philippine Navy, sa kanilang maagap na pagtulong upang maihatid ang mga ayuda sa mga biktima ng bagyong Odette. (Radyo Pilipinas) -rir
