DPWH, DOE, hirap magpaabot ng rehab team sa Palawan

Pinakikilos ni House Transportation Committee Chair Edgar Mary Sarmiento ang Office of Civil Defense (OCD) na mag-deploy ng dagdag na komunikasyon sa Palawan.

Ito’y matapos aminin ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at Department of Energy (DOE) na hirap silang magpadala ng team para sa restoration efforts sa Palawan dahil sa kawalan ng komonikasyon.

Ayon kay DPWH Dir. Jun Gregorio, hanggang 6:00 a.m. kaninang umaga (Dis. 24), sa 46 road sections na isinara dahil sa bagyo, 39 na ang cleared habang nasa pito pa rin ang sarado.

Ang pitong ito ay mga tulay na apektado aniya ng electric lines na kailangan muna i-clear ng DOE.

Ang apat dito ay nasa Region 7, isa sa Region 13, at dalawa sa Region 4-B, partikular na nga sa Palawan.

Nilinaw naman ni DOE Electric Power Industry Management Bureau Dir. Mario Marasigan na walang nasirang power generation facility, ngunit maraming distribution at transmission lines ang natumba.

Sa 700 transmission line at 600 poles na apektado ay halos na-restore na aniya tulad ng Panay island.

Ngunit tulad ng DPWH, hirap silang makapagpadala ng tauhan sa Palawan dahil isolated ang lugar at hirap sa komonikasyon.
