LTFRB issues warning against fake vaccination cards

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) warned the public against fake vaccination cards following the implementation of the ‘No vax, no ride’ policy that starts on Monday, Jan. 17.

Only those who are fully vaccinated and those unvaccinated but with a barangay health pass or medical certificate will be allowed to ride public utility vehicles.

According to the LTFRB, those who will fake their vaccination cards will be facing charges.

The faking of vaccination cards is a criminal offense, LTFRB-NCR Director Zona Tamayo said.

A fine from P500 to P5000 may be imposed upon the offender or may be imprisoned for up to six months.

The Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group added that a warning will be first given in the first week of the new policy. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio/PG – bny
