MANILA – Following two millionaires on Friday, Jan. 14, a lone bettor bagged the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) lottery jackpot prize, winning over P65 million in the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw on Saturday (Jan. 15) night.

The lucky bettor guessed the winning combination of 39-29-09-21-19-20 for the jackpot prize of P65,991,571, according to an advisory on Sunday, Jan. 16.

The ticket was purchased in Tabaco City, Albay.

The bettor can claim his cheque at PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two identification cards.

As provided under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than P10,000 shall be subject to a 20% tax.

This is the third time this month wherein a sole bettor bagged the jackpot prize.

A total of 34 other bettors guessed five out of the six winning numbers for P100,000 each; 1,391 bettors got P1,500 each for four correct numbers; and 18,843 bettors settled for P60 each for guessing three numbers.

The Grand Lotto draw is every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

On Friday, two bettors bagged the jackpot prizes in two separate draws.

A bettor from San Fernando City, La Union bagged the Ultra Lotto 6/58 prize of P70,258,716 while another from Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija guessed the winning combination the Mega Lotto 6/45 for a total prize of P20,212,102.

On Jan. 6, four bettors became instant millionaires after sharing the nearly P43-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 – two from Makati City, Metro Manila; one from Guagua, Pampanga; and one from Maragondon, Cavite.

PCSO general manager Royina Garma repeatedly urges the public to keep on patronizing the agency’s products as a large chunk of their revenues goes to charity programs.

The PCSO is the principal government agency for raising and providing funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities of national character. (PNA) – bny
