OCTA: COVID-19 trends showing decline

By Pearl Gumapos

The OCTA Research Group on Monday (Jan. 24) said the growth rate of COVID-19 cases and reproduction number in the National Capital Region (NCR) have declined.

So, bumababa pa talaga ang growth rate at iyong reproduction number ay nasa 1.03 sa Metro Manila,” OCTA member Dr. Guido David said during the Laging Handa public briefing.

According to David, if this trend continues, there might be less than 1,000 cases come Valentine’s Day.

“Kung mapapanatili natin itong trend, maaaring by Valentine’s [Day] ay baka nasa less than 1,000 cases per day sa Metro Manila.”
