COVID-19 cases sa Metro Manila, nag-peak na

Naabot na ng Metro Manila ang peak ng COVID-19 cases sa rehiyon.

Sa briefing ng Laging Handa, sinabi ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na ilang araw na ring naitatala ang sunod-sunod na pagbaba ng COVID-19 cases sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Gayunpaman, nilinaw ng kalihim na hindi pa masasabi sa kasalukuyan kung kailan maaaring ibaba sa Alert Level 2 ang Metro Manila.

Paliwanag ni Secretary Duque, nakadepende pa rin ito sa metrics na pinagbabasehan ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), tulad ng two-week growth rate (TWGR) na dapat aniya ay nasa moderate risk level.

Ang health care at intensive care unit (ICU) utilization rate ay kailangan aniyang manatili sa low risk level.

“Iyong ating ADAR or average daily attack rate, dapat ito ay between one to seven cases, average cases per hundred thousand population. And of course, pangatlo, iyong ating healthcare utilization rate na dapat ay mapanatili na nasa low risk classification, meaning, less than 50% or 49% and below ang kaniyang total bed utilization and ICU utilization rates,” paliwanag niya.

Ayon sa kalihim, sa oras naman na maabot ng NCR ang mga pamantayang ito, awtomatiko naman itong ibababa sa Alert Level 2.

Binigyang diin niyang tatalakayin pa ng IATF ang pinakahuling COVID-19 data at saka pa lamang matutukoy kung maaari nang ibalik sa Alert Level 2 ang Metro Manila o hindi pa.

“That is not yet cast in stone kasi pag-uusapan pa, we will need to review the metric. Ganoon naman ang IATF, maya’t-maya niri-review ang ating mga panuntunan o ang ating mga metrics,” ani Duque. (Radyo Pilipinas)   -ag
