Farm-to-market road concreting project up in Quezon town

SARIAYA, Quezon – Leaders and constituents of three barangays here have expressed elation that their rough and dusty main roads would finally be concreted using a PHP23.5-million budget from the local government.

Mayor Marcelo P. Gayeta spoke with village officials and constituents of barangays Pili, Morong and Antipolo during the formal ground breaking rite for the 2.3-km. farm-to-market roads on Wednesday.

The village leaders and barangay folks thanked Gayeta for realizing their long-time dream of well-paved roads, which would cut travel time and make the transport of their agricultural produce from the farms to their trading centers a lot easier.

They disclosed that previous town administrations did not attend to their plight of going through rough and dusty roads during summer and travelling on muddy and slippery paths during the wet season.

Gayeta assured village constituents that the road concreting project had been calendared before the year ends. (Gideon Belen/PNA)
