DOH: Sense of urgency needed in getting booster shot

By Pearl Gumapos

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday (March 5) said that there must be a sense of urgency when getting a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.

This is amid the low number of individuals getting their additional dose..

Cabotaje also emphasized the need to spread information about booster shots to ensure people of its safety.

“Ang gagawin natin ay i-strengthen ang advocacy. Our health promotion bureau kasama ang ating mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan at ang ating other partners from the private sectors, ay pag-ibayuhin iyong communication and advocacy to increase the uptake of boosters,” she said.

Meanwhile, Cabotaje also reported that during the first week of the implementation of Alert Level 1 in the National Capital Region and other areas, there have been no reports so far of minimum public health standards violations.

Wala namang naiulat sa aming tanggapan na paglabag,” she said.

– ag
