Some SSS branches in NCR extend operating hours for March 5

The Social Security System (SSS) has extended the operating hours of its select branches in the National Capital Region until 7:00 p.m. today (March 5) due to the “high volume of transactions.”

The longer operating hours have been implemented since March 4 following the region’s transition to Alert Level 1 which allowed “mobility of transacting members.”

The SSS said the branches include those in Diliman, Cubao, San Francisco Del Monte, Batasan Hills, New Panaderos, Makati-JP Rizal, Pasig-Pioneer, Parañaque, SM Aura-Taguig, Las Piñas, Alabang-Muntinlupa, Binondo, and Manila.

The state fund agency appealed to its members and claimants to use online facilities such as the My.SSS portal and the SSS Mobile App.

“There are more than 30 member services available on My.SSS. They can even access some of these services on the SSS Mobile App,” SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora Ignacio said.

Meanwhile, the SSS said all its 281 branches nationwide under Alert Level 1 are fully operational “to address the expected influx of transacting members,” especially in Metro Manila. – With reports from Bea Bernardo/AG- bny
