Duterte leads inauguration of gov’t projects in Leyte

President Rodrigo Duterte led on Thursday (March 17) the inauguration of several government projects and turnover of other facilities to beneficiaries in Leyte.

Duterte inaugurated first the 6.405-kilometer Tacloban City Bypass Road in a ceremony in Tacloban City, a project seeking to help traffic decongestion and road network accessibility.

The bypass road is expected to reduce travel time by 1.5 hours to 30 minutes and benefit “at least a thousand motorists per day.”

The Chief Executive also joined the inauguration of the new Leyte Provincial Capitol and the turnover of other government projects in Region 8 in Palo, Leyte.

During the same event, he joined the turnover of the completed housing units in the Peace and Prosperity Village in San Isidro, Leyte, as well as the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Awards to agrarian reform beneficiaries and former rebels.
