The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) apologized for the delay of trips which caused long queues of passengers from Litex to Sandiganbayan and along Commonwealth Ave. on Monday (April 4).
In a statement released Monday afternoon, the LTFRB said initial investigation following an emergency meeting found out that not even half of the 510 authorized units plying Route 5 (Angat to Quezon Avenue via Commonwealth) had operated.
“Patuloy pang iniimbestigahan ng ahensiya ang nasabing insidente upang mapanagot ang operator sa nasabing ruta – United Mega Manila Bus Consortium, Inc. (NAT Transport),” the statement read.
Meanwhile, the LTFRB announced the reopening of additional routes to accommodate more consumers:
Modern public utility jeepney : 6 routes with 158 units
Traditional public utility jeepney : 76 routes with 4,135 units
Modern UV Express service: 1 route with 19 units
Traditional UV Express service: 20 routes with 2,783 units
